Week 104 - Forgetting Days & Changing It Up

Thursday #105 – I’m not even going to try and pretend that I remember how this Thursday went down.  The reality is it’s now over a month later, 6 more Thursdays have passed and each have been remarkably unexciting.  As the 104th week of writing this blog (or 2 years for those of you playing at home) it seems like an appropriate time to shake things up.

Since DTM has been back for over a year now (and not always opposed to dodgily using his old staff card for free movies), I really no longer have the need to find entertainment on a Thursday night.  It’d be nice, sure, but as these riveting recent posts have shown, it certainly isn’t happening.  In reality, most Thursday nights I find myself hiding out watching TV, often without dinner as DTM works late and I avoid the kitchen, not wanting to get in The Cabbie’s way and still feeling awkward after 10 months of living here.  Instead of filling this blog with those stories (and the equally exciting tales of my weetbix and salad) I propose instead to just write about anything vaguely interesting that happens.

That means The Hot One will no longer need to plan dinners on Thursdays just to get a mention, she could get one just for buying a unit with The Tradie and inviting us all around to celebrate!  Legally Blonde could feature for whipping up some tasty enchiladas for Legs 11 and myself on a Sunday.  M-Dizzle and The Italian could get credit for re-enacting the Patrick Swayze Jennifer Grey lift from Dirty Dancing on a drunken Saturday night in a small bar where we kept getting free cocktails.  Instead of me sounding all kinds of boring based on my lacklustre midweek activities, I could sound kinda cool for just selectively picking what I want to write about.

Ricky Martin and his bizarre naked video montage mid-concert which revealed a tramp stamp? That’d get a post for sure.  Melbourne Cup and mingling with Lleyton Hewitt? Worthy of at least a few lines!  My new inexplicable addiction to Keeping Up With The Kardashians? Probably best to keep that one quiet.

And so while this Thursday was largely forgettable, it marks a turning point in my self-indulgent blogging.
